Me and Vaida had been talking about working together on commercial projects and have recently been approached to do some band photography. So in response to this we’ve set up a blog dedicated to our collaborative work. This could be a useful promotional tool when contacting potential clients, galleries and other potential collaborative team members.

We’ve put our work up from MSN4, and so this will now have the job of promoting us as a collaborative photographic team!

I think its really exciting to make work to promote yourself to other creative people as I think you can ask a bit more of them as an audience. I think they are more likely to spend more time thinking about the message of the images and how they relate to it.

In the future we would like to work with more models, stylists, makeup artists etc and this is a great tool to show these collaborators our work. They can see it in their own time, and get a feel for our style.

The blog is really simple, so the focus is on the images. A very light grey background so it isn’t too stark and bright to look at. The title is simple text, vaida&amy as all one word, so instantly alludes to the fact that we are the collaborative team. And a simple ‘About’ section that we can update with a client list, and what the main thread of our work is about.
