This unit will involve looking outwards and finding new collaborators to build on our already successful collaboration.

Vaida Kaklauskaite and Amy Read Masters Project Proposal 2010

Vaida and I had a meeting with Alicja Kurek from BA Fashion at NUCA. We wanted to talk about how we see our collaboration working over the next few weeks, and really kick start our collaborative project. After a quick discussion with Alicja we set out some general requirements for the project:

• Garment and shoot to be completed before 15th of July due to other commitments and MA deadline
• There has to be movement in the garment for it to work with the Cinemagraphs (examples were shown). This means a certain set of restrictions:
1. Material cannot be stiff, too heavy as it will need to move in the GIF
2. Garment cannot be too tight or too structured as this will hinder movement in the GIF

• Alicja & Miriam – Collaborative Roles
  Alicja and Miriam seem to have already established clear roles in the collaboration, which is great as we have found through experience that it definitely seems to help projects run smoothly. Alicja is designing and Miriam is pattern cutting, so far we have had more contact with Alicja, and we are both fine with that. Its a good dynamic to meet with Alicja, then she can implement decisions in her own way with Miriam.
