Vaida and I have expanded our roles whilst keeping our familiar roles intact. Again we have worked on the basis of being a fully integrated collaborative team, and attempted to bring in another collaborative partner on the same level. Alicja was great to work with, always kept in contact, she turned out to be the only reliable student out of the initial 3 that were interested (not that they didn’t have good reasons for not getting involved). We were hoping that we would be able to work in the same way with Alicja as we do with each other. In hindsight this is a bit unrealistic. Vaida and I have a very close collaborative relationship due to us having the shared goal of the MA and being friends who share the same interests, as well as a desire to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. We feel that our collaborative relationship with Alicja was that of a complimentary relationship, meaning that we needed her skills and ideas to push our work forward, but ultimately the creative decisions were ours.
