Final Shoot Day

Inspiration Pics:

We are taking along some print outs of inspiration, mainly a shoot with model Anja Rubik. I will also be taking along all of the images from the above gallery on my iPhone, this will enable me to draw inspiration from a wide range of images, and suggest poses if there is need to change things up. This is an important part of my role as Art Director on shoots, as I need to be thinking about poses and scenarios that we can move onto whilst Vaida is shooting the current pose.

Art Direction Role:

  • Checking reference imagery to keep the shoot on track
  • Checking what shots we have and suggesting different shots to show the dress at different angles
  • Talking with Vaida whilst shooting to change model’s pose/expression
  • Keep an eye on details that may cause a problem is post production

Here are a couple of short videos from the day to illustrate the sort of conversation that Vaida and I have in our roles as photographer and art director.
